Michelle Bruto da Costa, Loan Officer, Homebridge Financial

Michelle Bruto da Costa began her career as a loan officer in Texas, following a disappointing first time home buying experience. Already tenured in the appraisal business, she wanted to establish a career in lending where she could ensure that people experienced the very best in customer service. To her, this meant being transparent, heavily communicating, educating her clients and always gaining knowledge to ascertain each person’s specific financing needs. She moved to Washington in 2010 to live closer to her family. When they arrived, she and her husband, along with their four children felt like they had found their true home. They immediately fell in love with the beauty of the Northwest and the diversity of the people. During her 19 year career, she has closed over $700 million in personal loan volume and has been a producing branch manager for Homebridge Financial Services for six years. Michelle has received the Top 1% award for mortgage origination volume in the nation for the last eight years, as well as being recognized state wide for top client satisfaction since moving to WA. In 2019, Michelle received NAAMBA’s Top 100 award in the US. Michelle is passionate about the family behind each loan she originates and thankful for the opportunity to serve them.

Carese Busby, Loan Officer, Caliber Home Loans

At the age of 17, Carese started her career in the mortgage business under the tutelage of her father, a 35- year veteran of the trade. She learned the business from the ground up working at the mortgage brokerage founded by him. She bought her first home when she was merely 18 years old, giving her first-hand knowledge of the thrill of achieving the American dream. Carese has a genuine passion for the mortgage business, and is fiercely dedicated to getting each and every client the best deal the finance market has to offer. Carese’s clients appreciate her sincere interest in them and her acute sensitivity to their specific needs. The first-time homebuyer is as important as the experienced buyer or investor. Carese was born and raised in Seattle and locally educated. She holds a BA in Finance and Economics from Western Washington University, and an MBA from Seattle Pacific University. Carese is also a former competitive figure skater who earned silver and bronze medals in the US Championships.

Stephanie Maulding, Loan Officer, Guild Mortgage

Stephanie is a Seattle native and lives in West Seattle with my family of 4. She have been married for 26 years and have a 17 and 20 year old. Stephanie became a Loan Officer in 1994 and hired her first assistant in 2009. She has been with Guild since 2008. Production in 2018 was $33,000,000 with one Loan Partner on her team who helps with all of her Pre-Approvals and refinances. 85% of her business is purchase business. Stephanie joined The Core Coaching as a Level 3 Core Student in July of 2017 and graduated from that program in May of 2019, but is continuing in the program. When she has free time, Stephanie loves to play soccer, ski, and drink wine, and of course, long walks on the beach.

Daniel Mery, Loan Officer, American Pacific Mortgage

In 2005 Daniel became a loan officer with the idea of helping people achieve the American dream of owning their home. He shows dedication, hard work, and commitment to his clients. His expertise includes helping first time home buyers with all government loans and zero down payment using programs provided by the Washington State Housing Finance Commission. He also speaks Tigrigna & Amharic in addition to English, which allows him to work with borrowers who may have challenges with a language barrier. It is customary for Daniel to educate his borrowers and attend signing their final loan documents to answer questions that might arise.
