Named president of the Seattle Seahawks and First & Goal Inc. on September 24, 2018, Chuck Arnold is responsible for all financial and business operations, sales and marketing, and administration for the Seahawks. As president of First & Goal Inc., Arnold directs the management of CenturyLink Field, CenturyLink Field Event Center, First & Goal Hospitality, and WaMu Theater.

Arnold begins his 26th season with the organization and second as team president, after serving as the team’s COO from 2013-18. Throughout his time with the Seahawks, the team has set franchise records for new season tickets sold, overall season ticket base, average attendance and group sales. Under Arnold’s leadership, the club enters the 2019 season with 138 consecutive sellouts and a season ticket renewal rate of more than 97-percent for the seventh-consecutive year. The Seahawks have 12,000 members on the team’s Blue Pride season ticket wait list and more than 77,000 on the Blue Pride notification list. Additionally, the team has sold out suites for all regular season games the past six seasons while adding 15 new suites since 2013, including four premium Press Suites on the suite level and 11 total suites across the club level.

The Seahawks brand continues to be one of the strongest in professional sports, both locally and nationally. The team ranks seventh in the NFL in total fanbase, with 7.4 million fans nationally, and fourth in the league in local fanbase with 3.4 million fans in the state of Washington. A favorite among teens, the team also ranks No. 1 overall with fans ages 12-17. Under Arnold’s leadership, the Seahawks have driven revenue growth by 41% and 72% for corporate partnerships and suites, respectively, while tripling the number of $1 million partners — from four in 2012 to 15 in 2018. The team also maintains a Top-7 NFL ranking in broadcast ratings, web visitors, and social engagement. In 2018, the Seahawks’ local TV household ratings of 34.8 accounted for 14 of the top 15 most watched local programs.

Arnold has played a crucial role in the team’s retail achievements, leading the team of Seattle officials that collaborated with Nike in the successful redesign of the team’s uniform, which debuted in 2012. The Seahawks have ranked in the top five among all NFL teams in merchandise sales five out of the last six seasons, including the No. 1 ranking in 2013 and 2014.

Arnold’s commitment to making an impact off the field continues to be one of the organization’s top areas of focus. The club supports more than 2,300 charities around the Pacific Northwest and beyond. The team uses its unique and powerful platform to support community programs in the following focus areas: youth for today and tomorrow, military communities, the future of football, being a good neighbor, and player and Legend platforms. Arnold’s passion to give back has led him to serve several organizations, including being a member of the Washington Chapter of the American Cancer Society’s CEO’s Against Cancer, Bellevue Club Swim Team Board, WSU Marketing Advisory Board, Boeing Classic Advisory Board, and a Host Co-Chair for One Love.

In 2019, the Seahawks received City Year Seattle’s “Service in Leadership Award” for community support and investment into area youth.

CenturyLink Field continues to be one of the toughest places for opposing teams to play and has one of the best in-stadium fan experiences in the NFL. Arnold’s vision to create memorable experiences and cultivate genuine relationships with the 12s has led the team to rank in the top-four in the NFL’s Voice of the Fan Survey five of the last six seasons, including the No. 1 overall ranking in 2013 and 2016.

Beyond Seahawks game days, CenturyLink Field remains among the top three busiest stadiums in the NFL with more than 300 events and more than 2.4 million annual visitors.

In March of 2017, Arnold was part of the leadership team that created First & Goal Hospitality (FGH), which manages and operates all general concessions and premium dining at Seahawks games, Sounders FC matches, stadium concerts, and catering services for corporate events. With the introduction of FGH, the Seahawks are just one of four NFL franchises to self-operate food and beverage services.

As part of ongoing stadium sustainability efforts, First & Goal Inc. has recycled or composted an average of 96% of all facility waste the last four years, the highest diversion rate in the NFL. In 2018, CenturyLink Field received a “Waste Wise” award from the Environmental Protection Agency for its waste prevention and reduction activities and an international “Sustainability and Community” award at the Stadium Business Summit in London.

Arnold also played a key role in the launch of the Sounders FC Major League Soccer franchise, leading the sales efforts that led to 22,000 season tickets sold in the club’s inaugural season in 2009, and set attendance records for five-consecutive seasons from 2009-13, before the Sounders began managing the club’s business operations independently in April of 2014.

Arnold began his professional career as an intern in the Seahawks public relations department before joining the team’s ticket sales department as an account executive from 1994-96. He was promoted to director of ticket operations from 1997-2000, before adding the title of director of ticket sales and service from 2001-09 and becoming vice president of sales & marketing from 2010-13.

Arnold was also instrumental in the efforts to build grassroots support for the construction of CenturyLink Field. He was then responsible for coordinating the relocation efforts from the Kingdome to Husky Stadium to CenturyLink Field. He was among the Puget Sound Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 recipients in 2010 and was named Ticket Executive of the Year by Major League Soccer in 2009 and 2010. Arnold earned a degree in sports management from Washington State University.

He resides in Newcastle, Wash., with his wife, Jana, and two children, Charlie and Jordan.
