Justin D. Slack | SVP, Chief Appraiser & Environmental Risk Manager

Justin is currently the SVP, Chief Appraiser & Enviornmental Risk Manager overseeing both the valuation and environmenal functions of a $20B+ of WAFD. Previously, he spent 12 ½ years at HomeStreet Bank, most recently as the Commercial Appraisal Manager. HomeStreet Bank is a community bank ($7B in assets) based in Seattle, WA with a lending footprint along the Western Region of the US. In that role, he managed a team of review appraisers as well as oversaw the full life-cycle review process. He also was part of the integration team for HomeStreet’s acquisition of six other community banks. Prior to his employment at HomeStreet, he worked as an independent fee appraiser completing assignments for both commercial and residential properties in the Puget Sound Region of Washington State.

Justin holds all four the Appraisal Institute’s active designations (MAI, SRA, AI-GRS, and AI-RRS) and was the first member to obtain both of the review designations and to hold all four.
